In haar praktijk wordt taal een genererend instrument dat schuift tussen beeld, geluid, gebaar en sensatie \u2013 tot de conventionele relatie tussen woorden en dingen loskomt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e8re We Sea<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is een monumentale, site-responsieve installatie die de kapel van De Noker omvormt tot een vloeibare omgeving, zwevend tussen geheugen, droom en de verbeeldingswereld van de zee. Het werk neemt de architectuur in als een levend lichaam: pulserend, resonerend en poreus. In het midden hangt een sculpturale vorm, omringd door draaiende mobielen en glazen elementen die traag door de kapel zweven als een sterrenstelsel. Een immersieve lichtomgeving en soundscape roepen tegelijk de intimiteit van de baarmoeder en de uitgestrektheid van de zee op. Kinderstemmen roepen moeders op, grootmoeders, het leven in zee en alledaagse vormen van zorg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De titel speelt met de Franse woorden <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">la m\u00e8re<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (moeder) en <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">la mer<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (zee), in Prouvosts kenmerkende spel tussen taal en gevoel.
